A little bit about me
My name is Sarah Boucher. I am an abstract artist from Yellowstone County, Montana. I primarily work with mixed media, and often switch between bright colors and fluid forms to black and white fine linework.

My art is influenced by the ever changing world around me, and the waxing and waning feeling between being part of something large and isolation. My work is ever-changing like the seasons. I allow my work to be influenced by everything I experience, from rush hour traffic, to working in the mental health field; from watching the snow fall, to conversations with friends. I also like to hide a little bit of magic in each piece; something that serves as a visual cue for myself of what kind of things were going through my head at the time of creation. In this regard, my art is very personal.

My work is informed by my background in mental healthcare and work in non-profits in Montana. As what is widely recognized as a mental health crisis continues on, I find my work to bring the two things together becomes more important to me. I tend to balance one part with the other, and it further complements the fluid way in which I live and create.

When I am not making art, I'm studying in my master's of mental health counseling program, rock climbing, making pottery, skiing, watching films, or making music.
